Qir'aat Course
This class is led by Shaykh Qaari Nabiil Ibn Mahmood, the former Imam of Central Mosque Glasgow.
Shaykh has Ijazah in Hafs, Sab’ah, Asharah, and has over decade long experience of teaching and supervision.
The course follows the model of the tradition structure, as practiced in our Madaris and established through centuries long tradition in the science of Qira’ah. It consists of two stages.
Stage One:
This is likely to last up to three years. Here students are expected to complete the following books.
• Tajweed for Beginners
• Fawaid Makkiyah
• Al-Jazri
In order to complete this stage, each student will have to read the entire Qur’an e Karim – from memory – to the Shaykh. Upon completion of this stage, the student will be awarded Ijazah in the tradition of Hafs and ‘Aasim (رواية حفص عن عاصم).
The entry requirements:
The entry requirement for this course is Hifz of the Qur’an e Karim. This course is only available to those who have memorised the entire Qur’an e Karim, or are nearing its completion. As a requirement, the students will be expected to lead Taraweeh – full or partial – during the month of Ramadhan.
It is also important that the applicants join an Arabic language program to help them understand the Arabic texts which are studied in the final year of this course. we recommend stage one and stage 2 of the Aalmiyyah class for this purpose.
Fee Structure:
£360 annually, can be paid as £30 monthly.
